Christmas may be long gone but we’ve kept up the giving spirit with a few belated Christmas gifts of our own.
Thanks to you, our loyal Rampant Sporting customer, we were able to raise enough to give approximately 1000 gifts through our ‘You Give, We Give’ campaign in which we pledged to give 15% of all our pre-Christmas sales to those who really need it.
With such a huge number of gifts to give, we took your charity suggestions and added a few of our own to find 6 really deserving causes to donate our gifts of Rampant socks and scarves to.
Here’s a few snaps of us delivering our belated Christmas gift to Barnardos Childrens Charity, Loros Hospice, Rainbows Childrens Hospice, Coping with Cancer Trust (Leicester), Framework Shelter (Nottingham) and Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Why not take a look at all they great work they do and find out how you can support them.
In the lead up to Christmas Day we ran the ‘Wrap This’ competition on Facebook which involved us posting a picture of a wrapped up gift on a daily basis and asking our followers to guess what they were. The first and closest guesser won the prize that day!
We had a really great response and a lot of imaginative guesses! However, the guesses kept coming and often only matched the obscurity of the day’s gift!
Here were just a few:
Tom's Fudge - day 9 www.tomsfudge.co.uk
Rampant Sporting gym kit - day 10
Sadle pad & signed Riders Revealed Calendar - day 14
After the success of the Rampant Origins video the we threw an impromptu ’red-carpet event’ to show the official premier of the film. Both the lead actors Sam and Grace, along with extra’s and director Tom Murray came along to our Exeter store for their moment in the limelight and to snap up some bargains with a special 20% off!
Origins film cast
Memebers of the Rugby Union, Riding Club and Lacrosse teams turned up as the store was fillled to the brim. As the premier of the video neared, plenty of Grace and Sam’s friends came into store to support them and check out their friends on the projector. The lights were dimmed and director Tom Murray gave a quick introduction as the film was broadcast.
To add to the party atmosphere Red Bull came along and provided free drinks which was a big hit with the students!
Lookout for more store events with Rampant and Red Bull in the future.
What could be better than sending a lovingly hand made gift for Christmas…ermm not having to make it of course!
Luckily for you our very own Rampant grannies/superstars have once again been grafting away to bring you a wonderfully Rampant selection of knitted beanie hats ready in time for the fresh winter mornings – they also make the perfect xmas gift!
Lynne, Pat and Jane have each created their very own signature winter beanie in truly Rampant colours and statement bobble, finished with a Rampant branded label.
Don’t worry we didn’t make them work too hard. Each of our three beanie styles is limited edition and comes with a personal message from the grannie who made it. Grab one while you can! (Available atwww.rampantsporting.com)
A sad day for us all at Rampant Sporting. One of our longest serving super stars must fly from the nest. Laura/Norna moves on to pastures new, and our loss is most certainly London’s gain.
We shall all sincerly miss Laura, she’s one of our own, truly Rampant to the core, the most bon of oeufs.
We wish you the best of luck Laura; you won’t need it!
We’vehit the ground running this term causing some Rampant chaos across campuses up and down the country as the great Rampant Uni Tour continues!
First stop...Exeter
Stopping off in Exeter, Bath, Northumbria, Nottingham and Oxford, we transformed the most Rampant student houses into Rampant pop up shops, reeling in the fittest student body for a cheeky browse and to snap up some whopping discounts!
Our reps can't seem to control their excitement
We will be announcing more dates for next semester shortly so keep your eyes peeled. Want to get involved? Drop us an email at tour@rampantsporting.com
Over the last few weeks we’ve be working on a movie to try and look at back at where Rampant Sporting all began. We shot the film at Exeter University, using current Exeter Uni Students. It’s a bit of fun, and hopefully our fans enjoy it for what it is.
Anyway, have a butchers, it’s Rampant Origins….
The movie was filmed and edited by Tom Murray (http:tmurray.net) and the Music is by Bullwack
Some of our Rampant Academy Athletes are embracing the arrival of Winter, and are now training in the Austrian alps!
Tim Farr, one of our longest standing Academy Athletes has been working hard on recovering from injury over the summer, and now is well on track for a successful season over the coming months.
As you can imagine, it’s not easy to find snow to train on this early in the Winter season, so everyone this month has been heading to Hintertux Glacier: Which is where Tim bumped into Team Evolution - a young, up and coming team of skiiers on track for the big time!
For a bit more on Team Evolution, have a look at their BLOG
Great to see them all getting on so well, and making good progress with training.
It’s been a colorful few months since James joined our Marketing and Events team back in April.
James came on board as an intern to learn about the ways of Rampant, and before too long, he was re-writing the rules and strutting his stuff left, right and just off-centre!
The ‘J-Man’ is a fantastic representation of what is Rampant, and he will be sadly missed as he departs the Rampant HQ in order to persue a career in the Big Smoke.
Bon Chance Jim lad, we all love you very much.
To follow James’ progress, we suggest you just follow his youtube channel…
What an awesome month! Our Rampant Team have hit the road again, starting our University Tour and launching our new range in Fenwick Newcastle.
We started September with a bang at Burghley Horse Trials, creating a buzz with a live band outside our stall and making the most of the (late) summer sun!
Many thanks to our Rampant live band! CHECK OUT THE PAGE HERE!
Dolly looking pensive!
We went seriously Rampant in Newcastle at the end of September! We launched our new Autumn Winter Range in Fenwick and left our mark in town and at Newcastle and Northumbria Universities with our Rampant Reps.
We then made the short trip from Newcastle down to Exeter (only 400 miles!) to promote around Exeter University our new range launch at our store on Gandy Street.
If you are near Newcastle or Exeter then make sure you check out our new range! Not forgetting our other store in Aldeburgh and many other stockists around the country too!
Finally, this is my last week working at Rampant Sporting and I just wanted to say a big cheesy farewell to all! Everyone has been so nice and supportive, I will miss the Rampant Vibes dearly!
